- Resources Included
This course takes 13 days minimum to make a basic Bootlegger or Big D Style acoustic – more if you want a cutaway, binding, custom body shape, inlays etc. You make from sawn wood blanks and there are no pre-made kit parts.
Most acoustics are built over a period of months (or even years) with at least 2 visits here, or more. A one-trip build is possible over 21 days – so a 3 week stay but with days off between jobs. This course will be arranged to suit you.
Instructor
Mark Bailey
Mark Bailey is one of the UK’s most experienced guitar makers. He started his Guitar Making Revolution over 2 decades ago, running short courses in a community workshop and a double decker bus.
Then the internet arrived, and info became more accessible but not always easy to follow… so Mark applied the same step-by-step approach to making instruction videos and launched the digital GM revolution in 2016.
After building professionally since a teenager, he is on a mission to make it easier for everyone to achieve their guitarmaking dreams at home
